Independent Kart Racing (IKR) Championship

We are excited to announce the launch of our 2013 IKR championship, designed for owner drivers of 2 stroke karts who want to race competitively but don't hold an MSA licence. There are 4 race categories available, with multiple sub classes per category (these can be found in the regulation document below).

Bambino – 6 - 8 years	Free entry to 2014 championship
Cadets – 7 - 12 years	Free entry to 2014 championship
Juniors - 12 - 16 years	Double Supercar Experience (see below for more info)

Race Format

Races will have rolling starts (unless otherwise stated in class regulations) for all heats except timed qualifying which will commence from the pit lane:

Practice

• 10 minute session - untimed transponder check

Qualifying

• 10 minute session – results (ordered by best lap time) determine positions for Heat 1

Heat 1

• 8 laps - Results will determine grid positions for Heat 2

Heat 2

• 8 laps - Aggregate results from Heat 1 & Heat 2 will determine grid positions for final

Final

• Length to be determined by time remaining and announced prior to commencement

Entry fee is £45 in advance or £50 on the day (we advise you to book in advance to secure your entry). Transponder Hire is £5 in advance and £7 on the day

Double Supercar Experience – The winner of the junior championship will get to drive 2 sensational Supercars, choosing from the Ferrari 360 Modena, Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8, Porsche 911 Turbo or Aston Martin.

Intensive Race Training (IRT) – Worth £495, this amazing prize is a full day of coaching from professional instructors. Driving 2 cars, a saloon and a single seater racing car, 1-1 tuition will help develop skills, increase confidence and improve speed.
