The Owner Drivers are gearing up for "Tackling the Big One"

The idea was much talked about last year. Many of the teams had concerns about it. But the decision was made and it is nearly here. On Monday 20 July the full International Circuit will be opened up to our Owner Drivers – and the anticipation is starting to rise!

36 teams turned out in June (which we understand to be a National Record for this year), partly we understand to get to grips with the circuit, partly to see what testing sessions will be available before the main event and partly to book on for the July race on the International Circuit.

This will be first time our Owner Drivers will have been allowed to compete on the International Circuit which extends the Club Circuit to its full length of 1500m. The straight is longer, the hill causes different gearing issues and ‘Cowards Corner’ will no doubt live up to its name!!

All teams wishing to compete are requested to book-in prior to the event so the set up on the evening can be a smooth as possible. Testing Sessions have been organised for Thursday 16 July 2 – 4pm and Monday 20 July 2 – 4pm. Each session will cost £20 per kart with the Monday session keeping in tradition of the pre-race practice of having the additional £10 per driver fee waived. This fee will still apply for the Thursday session.
