Owner Drivers Pro Karting Event – 22 November 2009

Another great turn out last Sunday, 35 karts on the grid, even with a few of the regulars missing !  there were three teams racing for the first time, although unfortunately one retired with mechanical failure early on.

Quite tricky conditions - with a damp, but drying track, but at least we didn't get too wet in the light rain towards the end of the race. Well done to Ecolab on getting pole position, and also to D'N'R managing second (amazing what a good fettle at the Lucas workshop can do !!) - so we had Russ and Ross on the front row !  and as I sat there looking at them, waiting for the grid to form up, I realised it's not just policemen who are getting younger !!

From the number of muddy karts at the end of the race, it looked like there were a few off-piste moments, but again it was a close race, with the first four on the same lap, 6th to 14th covered by only two laps, and 16th to 21st also by two laps.
