Owner Drivers Pro Kart Racing April

April saw the fourth round of this years Owner Driver Pro Kart series here at Three Sisters, and a change to the format with the introduction of the PRO and CLUB classes. This month also saw a return of the rain to the circuit providing a different challenge to the drivers, and perhaps a chance for some new teams to get amongst the established front runners.

It didn't take long for the first surprise of the evening with Get Out The Way (777) setting an impressive pace in qualifying with a fastest lap time of 58.166 to take pole position with a margin of 1.836s back to Lucas (43) in second place ahead of CPM (81) third. With the grid formed up then it was time for the start of the race and it was Lucas who took the lead on the first lap from Get Out The Way and CPM, Lucas lead was short lived however, dropping to fourth place by lap

With the race settling down we had some good battles forming throughout the grid of 23 drivers, but it was at the front where had a close fight for the win developing with the leading trio of CPM, Get Out The Way and Lucas all in close quarters with the GKD 66 kart within striking distance

Unfortunately for CPM it would be them to loose out this time with an issue on lap 66 causing them to drop back to eleventh place, with that it was down to Lucas to take the win ahead of an impressive performance from Get Out The Way in second and GKD 66 in third overall, of course thats not all with trophies for the top 3 in both the PRO and CLUB classes there are plenty of prizes to race for this year at Three Sisters. Once again it was a pleasure to watch such a competitive grid and we hope to see you all again next month, hopefully with some better weather!
