Neil Boardman, achieved a fantastic podium finish!
Three Sisters Race Circuit Race Fleet Manager Neil Boardman, achieved a fantastic podium finish in his first ever single seater race at Oulton Park on Easter Monday.
The Aztec Systems supported driver qualified his Formula Ford an impressive 4th against very strong competition. Come the race, Neil made an excellent start maintaining his place to keep in touch with the leading three. Neil kept up the pressure until Mick Gardner ran wide at Knickerbrook, Neil took the opportunity and coolly maintained third place to the chequered flag.
Aztec Systems Managing Director, Colin Bennett was the first to congratulate Neil as he climbed off the podium, ‘Neil drove a very cool and calculated race, his podium finish is even more impressive taking into account its his first ever Formula Ford race at a new circuit,’ enthused a very happy Colin. ‘Commercially, this is the best start we could have ever expected in supporting Neil, it’s a great focal point for us to exploit within forthcoming marketing campaigns, and also gives credence to our Corporate Partnership with Three Sisters Race Circuit.
‘The Infiniti Motorsport car ran perfectly, I was pleased with my qualifying performance and knew I had a little more to deliver in the race. I made a great start, and knew I could keep up with the leading pack,’ advised Neil. ‘It’s a great start to the season for me and I’m now concentrating all my efforts on the second round at Anglesey on May 7/8.’
‘I’m delighted for Neil, it’s a fantastic result for him, I’m glad I was there to cheer him along.’ said colleague and supporter Peter Barnes. ‘Its great exposure for Aztec and Three Sisters Race Circuit and a prefect display of our Corporate Partnership.’
