supermotoNorasport Supermoto is best described as a mixture of Motocross and road racing and is always an eagerly awaited meeting at Three Sisters. Riders race on motorcycles that are quite often a custom created combination of an off road motocross bike with road racing wheels and tires, known by most as supermotard bikes. This crossover is reflected in the riders safety gear, motorcycle road racing leathers combined with motocross helmets and boots is the norm when it comes to Supermoto.

It may be slower than road racing, but in Supermoto rider skill is the key factor, speeds may be typically less than 100 mph, but with the racing taking place on short technically demanding tracks a skillful rider can overcome riders on more powerful machines. These factors combine to make Supermoto one of the most exciting forms of motorcycle racing, often with close racing from flag to flag.
The races take place on a specialist circuit that consists of both a tarmac section and also a dirt section, the dirt section makes up around a quarter of the track and features obstacles such as bermed corners (a corner that has a banked outer edge that runs the entire length of it) and jumps.
