The Grand Prix Heats Karting race begins with a warm up session that gives drivers the chance to familiarise themselves with the Le Mans Twin Karts as well as the twists and turns of the North West’s premier outdoor circuit. Two x 8 minute heats follow which are super competitive as drivers try to improve on their lap time. Each of the heats has a Formula 1-style starting grid, with grid positions varying for both races to ensure no driver gains an unfair advantage.
Following 2 heats, lap times are calculated and drivers are placed in grid positions according to their time. Then it’s time to race. The top 3 drivers from the GP race events receive an award to acknowledge their skill and speed.
